At just 20 years of age, the Franco-Catalan soprano Lauranne Oliva made a big impression at the 2020 edition of the famous ‘Nuits Lyriques’ competition in Marmande, winning the First Prize for Women in the Opera category, the First Prize for Best Newcomer and the Second Prize in French mélodie.

Following a faultless school curriculum and musical studies at the Perpignan Conservatoire in Christian Papis's singing class, she was awarded the Prix d'Excellence in May 2021.

In September 2021, she joined the Opéra Studio in Strasbourg, where she sings La Princesse and La Chauve-Souris in Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges.

A member of Génération Opéra's 2022 promotion, Lauranne won two prestigious competitions in autumn 2023: the Paris Opera Competition, 1st Prize and Audience Prize, and Voix Nouvelles, 1st Prize and Special Prize of the Swiss Theatres. She was also nominated in the ‘Lyric Revelation’ category at the 2024 Victoires de la Musique Classique.

Lauranne soon began performing in concert as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as in major choral works such as Haydn's The Creation, Mozart's Missa solemnis and Schubert's Stabat Mater.
She made a brilliant debut singing the roles of La Musica and Euridice in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo (Opéra de Tours, Théâtre de Poissy), La Fortuna and Junon in Il Ritorno d’Ulisse (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Arsenal de Metz, Victoria Hall in Geneva) in October 2021, and finally Drusilla in L’Incoronazione di Poppea in 2023 with the ensemble I Gemelli, then in a stage version under the direction of Raphaël Pichon and Evgeni Titov at the Opéra du Rhin.

During the 2023/2024 season, Lauranne sang the role of Ellen in Lakmé at the Opéra de Nice and at the Opéra du Rhin (directed by Laurent Pelly). She made her debut as Pamina at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in a adapted version of Mozart's The Magic Flute, directed by Julie Depardieu, and joined the Theater an der Wien for the role of Lipi in Salieri's Kublai Kahn (Christophe Rousset/Rafael Villalobos). She finished the season in Paris at the Opéra-Comique, singing an adapted version of the title role in Louise by Charpentier, directed by Héloïse Sérazin.

The 2024/2025 season will see Lauranne blossom: at the start of the season, she returns to her musical home, the Opéra du Rhin, for the role of Dalinda in Handel's Ariodante. She will be Ismène in Mozart's Mitridate, Re di Ponto at the Opéra de Lausanne and the Opéra de Montpellier. Lauranne will also be appearing at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris in Handel's The Messiah and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, conducted by Hervé Niquet and Vincent Dumestre respectively. She will perform Rossini's Stabat Mater at the Opéra de Tours, and Saint-Saëns's Oratorio de Noël with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, as well as several recitals at the Opéra Royal de Versailles and Chambord, and in Rennes and Avignon.
